Annual School Events

Open House on Thursday, September 12: This event is hosted at the beginning of each school year and is intended for all parents and family members of Coosa's Elementary School Students. This event will cover the following topics: 

1. Daily schedule and routines
2. Behavior expectations and incentives
3. Communication procedures between home and school
4. PowerSchool Capabilities
5. What you can expect your child to learn this year
6. Formative and Summative Assessments and how the data collected is used in the classroom.
7. How parents can help support their student

If you are not able to attend Open House, then please reach out to your student's teacher. 

Kindergarten Information Night on Thursday, September 20: This event is designed for parents/guardians to learn about the new South Carolina Kindergarten Standards, ways to support your child academically at home, and how the revised Kindergarten report card aligns to the new standards. Please come to learn about some fun ways to support academics at home.
