Academics

Academics are one of our top priorities at Coosa Elementary School. We are proud to offer our students a high quality, rigorous education. 

Students at Coosa have the opportunity to participate in unique and creative academic projects, such as this produce mural project. This project was produced by a group of fifth grade students and Coosa's former Art teacher, Mrs. Sams. The students created this beautiful mural that can be found today at the front of the Gullah Farmers Cooperative Association building. The Gullah Farmers Cooperative Association is a group of ten farmers of Gullah descent who work together to market their crops. The mural depicts eighteen different kinds of produce grown in Beaufort, South Carolina. The Association’s building is located at 41 Ball Park Road on St. Helena Island.
